Julie-Ann Marks
FOUNDER | Sound therapist
Julie-Ann Marks is a certified Sound Therapist Practitioner and the founder of Resonant Sound Healing. Based in Vancouver, Canada she facilitates immersive sound experiences that centre nervous system regulation, deep rest, and embodied listening. Her work draws on vibrational medicine, intuitive facilitation, and years of experience holding space in both group and one-to-one settings.
Originally trained and certified in 2021, she has been leading sound baths, community gatherings, and private sound healing sessions across New Zealand. Her approach is informed by a background in high-pressure creative industries and a personal healing journey shaped by burnout, anxiety, and the need for slower, more sustainable ways of being.
She is now focused on cultivating community in Vancouver, offering accessible and intentional sound healing experiences that invite rest, presence, and recalibration. Her work is grounded and rooted in the belief that sound can support people in returning to resonance with themselves.
She pays her deepest respect to the mana whenua of Aotearoa New Zealand and Te Whanganui-a-Tara for their ongoing connection to the lands, waters and culture. She also acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land from where she came from, and currently resides, the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations of Vancouver, Canada.
